Kingsway Retirement

Residents living in our retirement home may require a nominal amount of assistance with activities of daily living. Each person will be able to ambulate independently (whether by wheelchair, walker or be totally independent etc.) and are cognitively well. A personal support package is included with each suite. Kingsway Lodge Retirement Home is a member of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (www.orcaretirement.com) and required the follow the regulations provided to Retirement Homes by the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority (www.rhra.ca).

Supportive Living Supports included:

24 hour emergency supports
Daily Medical/Nursing supports include:

- Medication administration and monitoring
- Round the clock supervision of nursing and medical requirements
- Call Bell monitoring (each suite has a call bell system)
- Assistance with bathing in our whirlpool tubs
- Minor dressing assistance
- One person transfer assistance
- Minor assistance with Daily Personal Hygiene
- Infection Control Monitoring

Three Daily Meals provided in our dining rooms
Snacks provided throughout the day
Full Activity Program to promote independence, wellness and vitality
Weekly housekeeping of suites (daily garbage pickup)
Housekeeping of all common spaces
Personal Laundry provided
Clean linen and towels provided as needed
Use of all of Kingsway Lodge’s facilities
Maintenance service (also upon moving in- one hour availability with help with tv hookups and picture hanging etc)

Accommodations include:

Private suite with a 2-piece washroom (two sizes)
Semiprivate suite with a 2-piece washroom
Each of our units are planned to promote independence and security. There are assistive door handles and wheelchair accessible washrooms with raised toilets/assistive fixtures as well as emergency call system. Personal furniture and other items can be brought in to make it feel like home. Fully-adjustable beds are recommended and available.
